GUMURRII is a dedicated Student Support Unit for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students located on each of the five Griffith campuses. Its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff assist students with a range of support services encompassing recruitment, orientation, student support and graduation. The GUMURRII Student Support Unit is at the heart of Griffith's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, playing an active role in fostering cooperative partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and promoting respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, identity, and knowledge within Griffith University.
The GUMURRII Student Support Unit is managed by its Director, Ms Bronwyn Dillon and has a staff of 17 continuing and fixed-term staff operating at Griffith’s five campuses.
